Milan Fashion Favorites
Femininity ruled supreme on many of the runways during Milan's Fashion Week. Unlike many of the American designers, the Italians have, once again, embraced classic cuts and color. Below are two of my favorites from Bottega Veneta and Salvatore Ferragamo.

Pick of the Day: Rebecca Taylor Dress

The forgiving cut of this beautiful Rebecca Taylor silk chiffon dress, would be perfect for those of us with all little extra around the midsection. The intricate ruffle detail at the shoulder adds a elegant bit of flare. The surplice neckline would do wonders to legnthen the neck consequently adding height, and red is the color for fall. All in all it's a great pick for fall.

Style Icon of the moment...Audrey Hepburn
Unless you've taken residence on another planet in the recent weeks, you have probably seen the Gap commercials featuring Audrey Hepburn dancing awkwardly to AC/DC. Audrey's Reemergence at the forefront of popular culture made me realize what an indelible mark she's left on the fashion world.

The quintessential Audrey style consists of simple silhouettes paired with classic accessories. It was Audrey Hepburn who popularized the basic black dress; she taught us that less really is more.

Favorites of Fashion Week Pt. 1
Everything about this Narciso Rodriguez gown is stunning. From the color to the cut. In true Narciso fashion, the dress is immaculately tailored-- hugging every inch of the models rail-thin figure. It's shame that--outside of the fashion world--Mr.Rodriguez has not achieved the notoriety that he deserves.
I've been a fan of Catherine Malandrino's for quite sometime-even before she made a brief but delightful appearance on Project Runway. I simply adore the fact that her clothes are just as colorful as she is (I obviously have a thing for color). And with so many designers opting for beigy earth tones, color was a rarity.

This canary yellow dress was easily her collection's standout piece. The asymmetrical neck line and ruffled hem make it sexy without being over-the-top or trashy.

The Iconic Elle Magazine Turns 21

This October, Elle Magazine will be celebrating it's 21st anniversary, and the October issue of British Elle will be guest edited by the equally iconic Donatella Versace. Here's Donatella, her daughter Allegra, Liz Hurley, and David Furnish at the Elle Anniversary Party.

I cannot wait to get my hands on this issue--just to see what impact Donatella has. I'm truly quite curious about her point of view; will it be excessively sexy/borderline vulgar or elegant and classy. Because Donatella does both with relative ease.

Liz Hurley looks amazing-as usual-but I'm thinking it might be time for her to retire the excessive cleavage.

Kate Moss Hologram at the Alexander McQueen Show
This is truly one of the most amazing things that I have ever seen, simply breathtaking.

Mizrahi Mania

I miss my Isaac Mizrahi; ever since his show on the oxygen network was cancelled a few years ago-and my cable provider does not offer the style network, Damn them!- I simply cannot get my fill of the fabulous designer/tv personality.

Yes, I know he groped Scarlett Johansson at the Golden Globes, but if you were to come face to face with a "rack" as wondrous as Scarlett's, I'm sure you'd be tempted too.

I couldn't be more happy to hear that Isaac is releasing a magazine to feed my addiction. Isaac's Style Book is free of charge; except, of course, for the shipping fees-which are only $3.25 within the US.
