Fendi Fall 2008 Ads by Mr. Lagerfeld

The ubiquitous presence of fur is undoubtedly one of Fall/Winter 2008's most interesting and unexpected revelations. In an increasingly PC world it's almost refreshing to see that designers just don't care about pleasing the masses. It's an art, and I respect that.

Karl Lagerfeld (The Kaiser himself) took this gorgeous photos for Fendi's Fall/Winter campaign which showcases a coat of fur and feathers. Whatever you might say about Karl, you can't say that he's not ferosh.

Dolce and Gabbana Pushes The Envelope...Again

Dolce and Gabbana's newest ads are creating a bit of controversy. They feature women sporting whips and D&G's signature metal corset belt alongside nude male models. I'm sure you can see why some human rights advocates are up in arms. Personally, I have no problems with the ads. They're quite gorgeous.

I guess today is Vuitton ad day because I just happened upon this by famed photographer Annie Leibovitz of style icon Catherine Deneuve. I the international feel of these latest LV ads. They're so unexpected, yet they're timeless.

Scarlett for Louis Vuitton
Scarlett Johansson is the most amazing actress turned model. She's unbelievably stunning in these ads for Louis Vuitton. It's obvious that the concept for this ad campaign was tailored to her uniquely retro aesthetic. She's channeling a 60s sex goddess a la Bridget Bardot.

The Real (boring) Sisley Ads
I'm sure you've heard about those infamous adverts from Sisley (if not go here). Well, they were fake. Instead the campaign features Heather Marks and Stephanie Seymour. Honestly, I prefer the fabricated ads atleast they were thought-provoking.

But Lindsay Lohan actually looks pretty good in these Jill Stuart ads. I know that I hate celebrities peddling desinger wear and I especially hate the aforementioned cultural parasite, but something about these ads work. What is the world coming to?
