For those familiar with the most recent season of Project Runway, you'll remember that finalist Rami Kashou was continually maligned by the judges for his grecian-inspired silhouettes. Well, it looks like Rami was on to something.

This season the top designers opted to infuse their gowns with intricate draping reminiscent of that you would find on statuary at the Met. This seasons premiere silhouette also proves to be much more universally flattering than the ever-present tulip skirt. The fashionophiles will of course note that celebrity designer Monique Lhullier has been doing this for years, but then again Lhullier's work has never been given the visionary credit that it deserves.
