Alber Does Denim

Alber Elbaz, the genius behind the resurgence of Lanvin, has now teamed with Acne denim to create a collection for the funky, Swedish line. According to Fashion Wear Daily, the line will be sold at Barneys and Bergdorf stores beginning this November. The designer who is known for his own eclectic personal style commmented on his partnership for the line.

"I was very pleased when I started working with Acne. They're just young, energetic sexy Swedes and our partnership really wasn't about signing hardcore contracts, it was really just about creating about something that was mutually fun and creative."

Questions for Monique...

I have a question for Monique Lhuillier. Was this done on purpose? or did she think we wouldn't notice? 

So I've never really taken note of Vena Cava (I'll give you a moment to get over my fashion blaspheming). I really don't know why, they just never really intrigued me. But I just read an interview with head designers Lisa Mayock and Sophie Buhai that's made me change my mind. Their whit and insight was so refreshing that I was actually inspired to view their work. (imagine that). Here's my favorite quote from the interview.

If you had the chance to ask God one question (assuming s/he exists), what would you ask?
SOPHIE: “The Godfather” I or II?
